A place where First Nations evaluators, knowledge holders, story gatherers, system-weavers and relational navigators and connectors can find each other, support each other, and lead together.
Whether you are an experienced Blak evaluator, an early-career practitioner, or a non-Indigenous professional committed to genuine allyship, there is a place for you here.
For Blak Evaluators and First Nations Practitioners
Membership means access to a trusted, culturally safe Community of Practice. It means monthly online yarns where you can show up as your full self, gain access to specialised training and learning opportunities, connect to peer support, shared resources, and drive a collective voice that advocates for your rights, your safety, and your authority in the sector.
We know many of you are impacted by colonial load, wear many hats and carry a significant load, often work in isolation, and have had your expertise extracted without recognition. Gilibanga is here to change that : not just for individuals, but structurally and systemically.
As a member, you will:
Belong to a living national Network spanning every state and territory across Australia providing a strong and unified base to connect with our global brothers and sisters.
Access curated learning pathways, including Two Worlds Understanding, Measurement, Evaluation and Learning (2WUMEL), Indigenous Data Sovereignty (IDS) and Indigenous Data Governance (IDG) training: Social Return on Investment (SROI) recognised learning and certification; Trauma Informed Practice and Care. We are currently exploring access to the Resilience Project for our members.
Participate in monthly online yarns : safe, healing, culturally grounded spaces for connection and knowledge exchange.
Help co-design the Network’s direction, resources, and advocacy.
Gain visibility and recognition for your expertise within the sector.
Access the Gilibanga Library and Resource Hub : a growing repository of Indigenous evaluation knowledge and tools.
For Trusted Allies
As a Trusted Ally, you will:
Engage with and actively advocate for First Nations perspectives and culturally grounded evaluation practice.
Participate in ally learning and development activities designed with guidance from mob.
Contribute to a sector-wide shift in how Indigenous expertise is recognised and valued.
Be held to the standard of active, accountable allyship and role-model these mindsets and behaviours as active leadership in the evaluative sector.
